As Oliver can be representing either Japan or New Zealand I had to make a choice. (I guess I could have dressed him in Japiwi outfit !? but may confuse some people...)
Oliver was well dressed in traditional New Zealand Maori outfit. He was very lucky to have this fantastic handmade piupiu from aunty Kylie and a great green stone Koru pendant from his grandparents.

Yes, I was surprised you only introduced Oliver as Kiwi on stage!
ReplyDeleteHe's both, even though he was dressed as Kiwi - as many, many of the other children.
Next year he'll have to represent Japan, there are more Kiwis than Japanese students, so he'll have to step up! :)
