Beach fun

We took the boys over to the ECP this afternoon. It was cloudy but I thought better than too sunny.

Matthew had a busy week of flying so we haven't done many outdoor activities other than going into town and shops. So both boys were very very excited when we got there.

My gorgeous beach boy - ready to hit the beach!

I can feel the waves!

Deos he look happy or what?

So relieved Luca no longer eats sand... (and the hat stays on!!)

They found some coconuts:

We had some drama over the coconuts. According to Oliver they were all his acorns and he just wouldn't share them. Can you imagine this little guy was guarding all of them by himself!?

Luca practiced more walking with daddy and big brother:

Digging a hole to find what lives there?

The tide was quite high so they didn't get into the water much but I am sure they enjoyed it 100%!

We continued on to our dinner at the Dinosaur Italian restaurant. Oliver enjoyed running around in the indoor playground and we had delicious meals.

Luca was well entertained by the dinosaurs! Raaahhhhhh

By the time we finished our meal it was getting dark. We had a little walk down to the waterfront.

While we were dining we kept seeing big groups of people walking past to go to this famous seafood restaurant. The place was packed!!! Maybe within 30min it was full!!

And another 10min... people were everywhere waiting for the next empty table.

I know it is quite a pricy place but we must try it out!

Sunday lunch and walk about

This week Matthew worked Monday to Friday. So the weekend really felt like the weekend. It was a lovely day so we decided to walk down to Siglap area to find some lunch place.

We made a special trip to this Vietnamese restaurant last time but it was closed, so when we saw them open we knew where to have lunch :)

Some rice rolls and Vietnamese pancake. We also ordered some Pho noodles for our boys. Asian food always goes down well with our boys - wonder why!?

After a delicious meal we carried on to the Siglap area. Oliver was very curious and looking into the shops. He even tried to trick us to go into McDonald's - cheeky little monkey!!

And we had our coffee on the way home too :)

Oliver is getting very good at taking photos on my iphone.

Luca really enjoyed baby-chino, Oliver not too much this time...

It was a lovely family day out!

Ty-ranno-sau-rus Rex

This evening we took a stroll to the ECP. I was pretty sure Oliver would like to jump in the water so packed togs for the boys. But no, we didn't get that far.

We walked around the lagoon to check out the dinosaurs we found the other day. (This photo was taken when we were there last). Thanks to this he learned the big word - Tyrannosaurus Rex very quickly!

Today they didn't have the egg shell for the kids to go in so Oliver got pretty upset. But he found something else that made him very happy. A little
indoor playground! Like "Jungle Gym" where we used to take Oliver in Brunei but a mini version. It is free for the customers who dine in the restaurants. So why not? We sat down and ordered some drinks and treats for us while Oliver was happy running around.

Yuuuummmmmyyy fresh Oysters :)

Luca enjoyed having some mummy and daddy time alone:

By the time we dragged Oliver out of the place it was getting dark. Oliver has this new scooter but hasn't been on it confidently by himself until today. Somehow he figured out how to balance and steer - and loved the ride so much! Made our way home much quicker :)

BBQ night

Tonight we were invited to join a BBQ by the poolside. Luckily Matthew had a day off (the last three times we were invited he was working so I had to go alone with the boys) and finally enjoyed the beautiful beef steak one of our friends cooked and some chilled beer!

It was a beautiful full moon evening:

We also got to meet our friend Nicola & James's new born baby girl Ayla who was born last week. She was born on Oliver's birthday! So tiny and soooo cute!

Oliver was very happy to see Ayla's siblings - Annabel and TJ and run around with them until he was too tired...

Very nice relaxing evening for all of us :)

What a nice day mummy

That's how Oliver described our wonderfully relaxing day here in Singapore. Unfortunately daddy had to work all day again :( but we had lots of fun just the three of us.

My daily routine - taking the boys downstairs for a little walk.

Stopped at the supermarket in the condo to get some chips!

Watching the water fountain:

Picnic lunch by the playground:

Some bare feet play time on the grass :)

Oliver found a big stick to throw - can you see it?  he was actually very very good!

Came back to the apartment and just chilled out on the balcony. We could see quite far away today.

Indonesian islands:

And a bit of Malaysia! How cool is that - two countries as one panorama view:

After the boys afternoon nap, we got changed into our swimming gear and jumped in the swimming pool downstairs. It was just the perfect temperature! I decided to feed the boys by the poolside to make my life easier :)

By the time we got back the boys were very tired and ready for bed which gave me some "my time"  for blogging. Yes Oliver, it was such a nice day!

Tomorrow daddy is finally off - should be a great family day :)
