Farewell - Khairiza

This morning I had our simpang ladies over for morning coffee (it was a shame Nicole couldn't make it), I was meaning to do this for a long long time, and finally we got together. But for another sad occasion - Khairiza our Malaysian friend/neighbour is leaving Brunei.

Every since we moved into this house she has been very friendly and we became good friends. It is such a shame to lose a lovely neighbour. I guess we have to accept that it is part of living in an expat community. People come and go...

Whenever people move on to their next phase of life, like moving countries, I wonder what's ahead for them. But I  know now whereever you are, everyday is an adventure, it is just how you set your mind and how you deal with your days.

We don't know how long we will be here in Brunei but I want to make the most of it and I think I know how to do it now!
