Oliver's language skills are coming along so well.
He can repeat pretty much everything we say, even when we don't expect him to repeat...
I was talking with Matthew and said "BUGGER" then 2 seconds later a little boy of ours loudly said "BUGGER" !!
Bugger... we need to be very careful what we say when Oliver is around from now on.

Oliver's creation
While I was busy packing upstairs Oliver made this great train track, almost without any help from his daddy!

He concentrates so much and wants to do everything himself.

Loved watching the battery operated train going around.

Test driving the shinkansens

What a clever boy!!

Fund raising for CHCH and Japan
This morning we were up early and went to RBRC (sports club) to watch some touch rugby organised by the NZ Association here in Brunei and to help out the Japanese Association car boot sale to raise money for both CHCH and Japan earthquakes.

NZ association selling t-shirts.

Japanese association car boot sale.
Some homemade origami greeting cards and bookmarks - they were gorgeous!

I contributed by providing some sushi (surprise surprise!) to raise money for Tsunami victims, they were selling quite fast.

Our little supporters Rina and Oliver

It was a very good feeling to be involved in such an event, we cannot do much but something little can make a huge difference!!

Well travelled babies in tummy
I remember I travelled quite a bit while I was pregnant with Oliver.
The baby in my tummy has already traveled to; Japan (3 times already), Australia, Hong Kong and we are heading to NZ this weekend!
I was curious and checked where I had been with Oliver in my tummy. He had also been to Japan a couples of times, NZ, Hong Kong and Australia. They are definitely sharing the same experience!

More photos - Day 2 (part2)
There was already a long queue in front of "meet Mickey and Minnie"

We started off in "Adventure Land" - this is a theme park for Tarzan.

Look at this awesome treehouse!

The river ride was fun! Lots of animals for Oliver : )

We spent as much time as possible at the park before we had to head out to the airport. This time we took a taxi (instead of trains) so it only took us 20min to get there.
Luckily Oliver didn't notice until we were in the air that Hinata and Daddy were no longer with us... And he behaved very well on the plane.
It was definitely a great to way to finish Hinata's adventure! We will miss you Hinata!

Photos from HK Disney - Day 2 (part 1)
Hinata was up nice and early - before 6 am!! He asked me if he can get changed and get ready. I had to tell him off and he managed to stay in bed till 6:45.
At 7am we were all dressed and ready to head out to Chef Mickey cafe for our buffet breakfast.
Good morning Mickey!!

Guess what we had for breakfast?

We didn't know the park wouldn't open till 10:30 so we had lots of time to spare. The best thing was the hotel had a lovely garden for them to play and explore : )

Little castle playground!

There are two official Disney hotels in the park. We stayed in the lower grade one but we were very very happy with our choice!
Maybe next time we will try the other one tho just to see what it is like : )

Photos from HK Disneyland - Day1
We started our Disneyland adventure in the evening. It was HK's public holiday so there were quite a few people around.

We are definitely in Disneyland! Mickey Mickey Mickey!
First we went to "Tomorrow Land" to check out Hinata's favourite ride Space Mountain. He told me that in Tokyo there are too many people queueing up for those rides and his mother had to wait in line for 3 hours!
The boys were so lucky to get on it after only a 5 min wait.
Then it was time for Oliver to check out a ride, the three of them went on a UFO ride! He was very brave and didn't even notice he was in the air.

Well I couldn't really see except for this while I took photos...

Oliver loved this train ride, he didn't want to get off!!

He is definitely a boy - he loves cars!

We continued exploring the park and stayed until the last attraction of the day - Fireworks!!

Camping in Hong Kong?
When we got on the plane, Hinata asked me another question. "Do you have a house in HK as well?" I said "No we don't that's why we brought a tent so that we can go camping" He has no idea what HK is like and he never been camping so it all sounded a bit odd but he accepted that this is what we are doing in HK.
So all the way to our last destination he truely believed we were heading out to a camping site.
Actually we booked a Disney hotel and bought a two day pass. I wanted to see how long it took for him to figure out we were going to Disneyland.
From the airport we took trains to get to the Disney station. We actually had to change trains three times and it took much longer than a taxi but the boys loved every minute of it.
Yeah! We are in HK!!
We changed to this Mickey train - but Hinata didn't suspect we were going to Disneyland at all! He thought HK has very fancy trains : ) Also he saw lots of people with bags etc and told me - "wow lots of people are heading out for camping today!!" Bless him...

I loved the detail in the train...

Oliver knows what Mickey is - he was very excited to be holding onto Mickey : )

Even getting on this Disney bus Hinata believed we were going camping...

It was actually when we checked in at the hotel I had to tell him we were in a Disney hotel and we are staying a night in a hotel, not camping... And we were going to leave the bags in our room and head out to Disneyland NOW!!
He was so so happy and gave me the biggest smile : ) I am glad our special surprise worked out to be a very surprising one for him.

Last minute in Brunei
I really wanted to show Hinata some monkeys while he was in Brunei. We took him to our monkey supermarket but we couldn't see any.
So our last hope was visiting one of the reserves in the morning before getting on the plane. It was raining when we got up and I wasn't sure if the monkeys would be out, but... we were so lucky!! So many of them and we could see them very close!

What are we doing tomorrow?
During his stay in Brunei Hinata asked me this question every night so that he could tell his parents on skype and also so he can prepare himself for the next day.
Tonight when he asked me - "Tomorrow is my last day in Brunei, what are we going to do?" My answer was, "well you are not going to stay in Brunei anymore we are going to Hong Kong!"
He was so excited when I said that. I am not sure if it was because he will be a little bit closer to Japan and feels he is almost home or because some more adventures are coming up. Anyway he was very happy telling his mother he needs to pack tonight because we were all going to get on the plane and head to HK.
I wanted to make this last bit of the trip very special for him, so I only told him we were going to HK to eat some delicious Shau Lon Pau! His favorite chinese dumplings.
I have another surprise for him once we get there : )
